Robert Fairbairn **
#1124, b. say 1784
| Father | ?James Fairbairn (say 1760 - ) |
| Intro | Robert is the earliest proven ancestor of both Joe (F-10) and Ron (F-19). What the project hopes to prove is the story in Joe's grandfather's obituary that he, Albert, was a "cousin" to John A Fairbairn of Hoquiam, even if we are unlikely to ever find out how this may be so. Joe (F-10)'s results have proved a puzzle, showing characteristics of both "clumps" of Fairbairn lineage 1. We will shortly see what results a 3rd cousin of Joe's, Ron (F-19), has to add to the overall jigsaw. |
| Birth | Robert Fairbairn ** was born say 1784. |
| Marriage | He married Elizabeth Taylor Jun 1811 Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, ENG. |
| Researcher (Progenitor) | Robert's line is being researched by Joe Fairbairn (F-10). Email: Joe (email current as at Feb 2009). |
| Researcher (Progenitor2+Rschrs) | Robert's line is also being researched by Ron Fairbairn (F-19). Both Ron and Joe (F-10) would very much like to find out where Robert fits into the Borders Fairbairn families they match. Email: Ron (email current as at Jun 2009). |
| Y-DNA Detail | Robert has been given a theoretical dna signature which "corrects" descendant Joe (F-10)'s CDYb from 37 (K) to the modal 38 (L), Joe being the only one of lineage 1 "clump 2" with this value for CDYb (a faster mutating marker). Marker 460 = 11 appears to signify Robert's line as both representatives show this value. |
