| GeneticDistance (Testee25Markers) | At 25 markers the theoretical Genetic Distance (GD) calculations from Michael show: 2 to Doug(GOODFELLOW), Tom, David(TROTTER), David(CAMPBELL), Joe, Ron, (Irwin), Mike(IRWIN) and Charles; 3 to John(JOHNSTON), (F-8), (F-11), Martin, Earl, Roy and Michael; 4 to William and Doug(BLAKEY); ie closest to "clump 2", with the defining marker 391 = 10. He is however alone in the project as having marker 19 aka 394 = 16 (all the others in Lineage 1 have 14). For markers 38 thru 67 Michael is completely on modal for Lineage 1 and as such, an exact match on these markers to the IRWIN and ELLIOTT that we have these values for, along with just John (F-17), Joe (F-10), (F-8) and David(TROTTER) (F-7) of the FAIRBAIRNs (5 others having differences to the modal, and 3 not having results for markesr 38 through 67). |

NB one of the differences is a two-step mutation (19/394 from modal 14 to F-22's 16), Family Tree DNA call this GD 2 in one section of their pages, and GD1 in another. Given Lineage 1's relationships, the GDs stated here count 14 to 16 as a distance of 1. |
| Y-DNA Detail | Michael (F-22)'s results show him as having two unique markers which are assumed to typify his line: 19/394 = 16 (instead of everyone else's 14) and 570 = 20 (a faster mutating marker, but to date only this line as a value of 20). They also show that he belongs to what looks like a subgroup within Lineage 1 "clump 2" starting to form, those with CDYb=39, along with one of our IRWINS (F-28), and John (F-17). |
