Lineage (PaperTrail) The research paper trail for Stan shows him to be part of Fairbairn Lineage 2b (see here for chart).
GeneticDistance (Testee) At 25 markers the theoretical Genetic Distance (GD) calculations from Stan show: 7 to Neil(CARTER)
GeneticDistance (Testee37Markers) At 37 markers the theoretical Genetic Distance (GD) calculations from Stan show: very distant to Neil(CARTER) (only included as some of the mis-matches are on faster mutating markers and thus reduce the stated GD; (having slipped rather drastically from the GD7 at 25 markers to GD 18 at 37, ie not worth considering for a relationship within genealogical timeframes).
GeneticDistance (Testee67Markers) At 67 markers the theoretical Genetic Distance (GD) calculations from Stan show: nearest matches over 67 markers are an extended family of McKAINs, who seem to trace their tree back to Lancaster, PA, USA in the early 1800s, and thence Co Antrim, in Ireland, so it is possible, pending any further FAIRBAIRN information, that link may need further investigation, but another participant from Robert's line should be our first choice for investigation to ensure we have an accurate dna signature for this line. (FamilyTree DNA's Time Predictor shows a 78% probability of a shared ancestor within 12 generations, to the closest of the McKAINs at GD 4. A marginally higher percentage match at the same GD is with a CALDER family, 80% within 12 generations).
