Family 1 | ?Margaret UnknownSurname (say 1730 - bt 1760 - 1762) |
| Children | - Peter Sinton *+ (say 1752 - cir. Oct 1811); As both the James Sinton with children born Southdean 1755 thru 1760, and the James Sinton married to Janet Oliver in 1762 had the same occupation and were from the same place, I have, for the moment, assumed that they are one and the same person.
Peter (marr. Janet Donaldson) cannot belong to the second marriage, but seems very likely to belong to the earlier couple - Thomas Sinton (Oct 1755 - )
- James Sinton (Mar 1760 - )
|
Family 2 | Janet Oliver (say 1740 - cir. Dec 1805) |
| Children | - Robert Sinton (cir. 1767 - )
- John Sinton *+ (Aug 1769 - bt 1815 - 1841); Certainly naming pattern of children supports John's parents as being a James and Janet, but the only apparent Southdean link with the adult John is that his dtr and wife eventually lived at Cleethaugh, Southdean after a life at Grahamslaw, Eckford
- James Sinton+ (cir. Jan 1772 - )
