William Sinton **
#3100, b. 1778, d. Aug 1841
| Assumed father | Male Sinton ?? (say 1745 - ) |
| Intro | This line of Sintons were initially around Jedburgh (William and Isabella married in Hawick, first son James born Ancrum). There are now many descendants in New Zealand. DNA results show a connection to the Southdean Sintons of lineage 1 (35/37 to one, 34/37 to another), but we do not know how or where they connect. It may be of note that there is a 1778 baptism of a William to a James in Yarrow. |
| Recruit (AnotherWanted) | The project would like to recruit another representative of this line. Although we do have a representative for this lineage, another distant cousin of same would be good to see whether the discrepancies between this lineage and the Southdean lineage crept in between William and Roy (S-4), or prior to William. |
