George MacAdie **

#3973, b. say 1730

Intro A hard name to research in this internet age, too many variants for soundx searching to be very effective.
There are quite a few McADIE families in Caithness, not all of whom are connected by paper trail. Here's hoping that the wonders of DNA testing might join them up, or provide links to other names. Any descendants of any of the McADIE lines are welcome to join us in the project.

Recruit (Relationship2Prove) The project would like to recruit a representative of George's line to prove a relationship with George MacAdie **
Both of these George's and/or their descendants, lived on the East side of Loch Watten at one stage or another, one at Lynegar, the other at Ruther, albeit a couple of generations apart. It seems rather likely that they do connect, even if at the moment, we don't know how.

Birth He was born say 1730 ?Watten, Caithness, SCT.
Marriage He married Margaret Cottar, daughter of Robert Cottar and Katherin Calder, Dec 1756 Watten, Caithness, SCT.
