| Recruit (Relationship2Prove) | The project would like to recruit a representative of John's line to prove a relationship with John Fairbairn ** As John and descendants have both Nenthorn and Makerstoun connections it would seem highly likely that there is a connection to the known family of John and Helen (Anderson) Fairbairn, possibly even being their John baptised in 1760, although with John's eldest son being a Robert, possibly more likely to be one son of one of the connected Roberts' instead. It would therefore be rather good to track down a proven descendant of both families to test this theory. George, son of John and Christian (Wood) Fairbairn emigrated to New Orlenas around 1857, moved to Illinois, and descendants live in Kansas, and are represented in the project (Feb 2010), but a confirmed representative for the John and Helen Anderson line is still required. |
