#5423, b. 1714, d. 1796
| Birth |
John Fairbairn ** was born 1714. |
| Recruit (Relationship2Prove) |
The project would like to recruit a representative of John's line to prove a relationship with John Fairbairn ** As both Johns and descendants have both Nenthorn and Makerstoun connections it would seem highly likely that there is a connection between the family of the John married to Christian Wood and the known family of John and Helen (Anderson), possibly even being their son John baptised in 1760, although with John & Christian's eldest son being a Robert, possibly more likely to be a son of one of the connected Roberts' instead. George, son of John and Christian (Wood) Fairbairn emigrated to New Orleans around 1857, moved to Illinois, and is represented in the project by LE(F-31), but a confirmed representative for the John and Helen (Anderson) line is still required. |
| Marriage |
He married Helen Anderson May 1748 Nenthorn, Berwickshire, SCT, entry reads: John Fairbarn (sic) in this parish & Helen Anderson in the parish of Crailing gave up their names for proclamation in order to marriage and gave pawns. |
| Death |
John Fairbairn ** died 1796 Galashiels, Selkirkshire, SCT. |
