Chromosome Map
For those segments of DNA identified as DAWE or SMITH (or possibly ROWE or ANDREWS as yet unable to be split out)The chromosome map above shows the more likely segments of DNA that MAY BE Dawe related.
The reality is that they could have been inherited from the other of the pair of common ancestors shown, particularly those marked just Rowe/Connett, or Dawe/Franklin, where the dna shown could be Connett or Franklin ancestry.
The key lists the most recent common ancestor (MRCA) between the people whose initials are shown.
Where there is "anc." after the key name, the segment is part of a triangulated group (TG) of matches where we know there is a shared common ancestor, but have no idea, yet, where/when/who that shared ancestor is.
See also Lorna's Dawe page, particularly for the branches of the family represented by FamilyFinder tests, and those not yet included.

Segment Traceability
How about the pretty picture below showing the detectable DNA segments shared between some of the known DAWE/SMITH descendant kits? With thanks to the GEDmatch Shared Segment Traceability tool - and all those who have tested.
NB as this comes from GEDmatch.com it can only include those who have uploaded their atDNA file(s) to there, in particular it does not include a DNA match to both LH and JPLHB which led to the discovery of a John baptized Whitchurch to Isaac and Sarah, where the date fits between the two oldest children previously known.
Not that we have yet proven that this newly discovered John is one and the same as the John married Mary FRIEND, ancestor of the new DNA match.
Nor does it include the descendant of Joan BIDGOOD nee DAWE who tested on 23andme but has not uploaded to GEDmatch.
At some stage it will be extended to include some of the closer matches as well as the known relatives, but it is interesting to see the predicted relationship ranges, and how well they actually fit reality for WHEN there are matching segments that have survived down the generations.
Also to see the randomness of atDNA inheritance in action as to which generations actually do still have a detectable match with those down from a different ancestor.
There are some smaller triangulated segments not shown here, eg LIH/GCY do share a 6cM match on Ancestry, 7cM according to GEDMatch on Chr 01.
The segments shown in the Key, and circle picture, are not of course the only segments inherited from Isaac DAWE or Sarah SMITH, just those where the assorted cousins have a match, and can thus be easily attributed to their appropriate shared ancestral couple.
