WebIntro | As at Jun 2015 we have finally proven that at least two of the FAMILTON lines on the Scottish Borders are indeed genetically related. Their only matches to date are the respective representatives of these two lines, and a distant match with a HAMILTON descendant whose 3g grandfather was born in Ireland and emigrated to Sth Carolina. The haplogroup (G) however is unusual on the Scottish Borders, and within the HAMILTON DNA project, which latter boasts a total of 3 out of 580 Y-dna tested HAMILTONs. |
