William Sinton **

(1778 - Aug 1841)
Assumed fatherMale Sinton ?? (say 1745 - )
WebIntroThis line of Sintons were initially around Jedburgh (William and Isabella married in Hawick, first son James born Ancrum). There are now many descendants in New Zealand.
DNA results show a connection to the Southdean Sintons of lineage 1 (35/37 to one, 34/37 to another), but we do not know how or where they connect. It may be of note that there is a 1778 baptism of a William to a James in Yarrow.
