Robert Fairbairn **
(cir. 1801 - 1887)
Recruit(AnotherWanted) | The project would like to recruit another representative of this line. The Robert of Melrose who married Margaret Elliot is of an age and place to be a son of Robert and Agnes (Landreth) and Robert and Margaret (Elliot) had a son Robert in 1801 who may well be the Robert married to Agnes Black and Euphemia Robson who moved to Norfolk, as he was also born Melrose in 1801. If the linkages are accurate, a descendant of this latter Robert should be a very good match with Earl (F-2) the descendant of Archibald and Mary (Grierson). The theory is fine, but the dna is telling another story, showing that Stan (F-15) is predicted as haplogroup R1b1b2 rather than I1 as the descendants of Robert and Agnes (Landreth) are (assuming that paper trail is sound). A confirming dna signature from the other son, David, would be very welcome (David's grdson David can be eliminated as a potential source of dna participants, as he died unmarried in WW1). |
